Questions? We've got answers!
Why would I use CrowdSeating?
CrowdSeating is your one-stop partner that can plan, fund and implement every detail of your next concert - everything from a single event or a world-wide tour! We help with all the aspects of planning through to production and we have a powerful proprietary platform that embeds enables your fans to pre-order tickets in advance of an upcoming concert. This eliminates the risk of committing expenses prior to fan engagement and provides you with complete control of the markets, venue size, production standards and more.
What is a ticket pre-order?
If fans want to see you perform at an upcoming concert, they can pre-order tickets in advance and essentially make a commitment to be there if the concert is produced. This is different than the more traditional approach of booking a venue and committing to all the related expenses and then hoping to sell enough tickets to cover the cost. A pre-order for tickets is only fulfilled if there is enough interest and you are comfortable with the financial model to perform.
How is the money collected and where does it go?
CrowdSeating’s secure payment gateway collects payment by processing amounts owing on the credit card used by fans when they pre-ordered their tickets. This money will be used to fulfil all the financial contracts for the upcoming concert including the artist rider and performance fee.
Is my fan’s credit card info secure?
CrowdSeating takes security very seriously. We integrate with one of the most secure credit card processors in the world. Our financial partner is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of security and certification available.
When it is time to process payments for ticket pre-orders, no credit card data ever is visible or hits CrowdSeating’s servers, and all card numbers are encrypted with Advanced Encryption Standard AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines and none of our partner’s internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers. All infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in a separate hosting infrastructure, and doesn't share any credentials with primary services (API, website, etc.).
How is this different than other “crowd funding” sites I have seen in the music industry?
CrowdSeating provides a very innovative model in the industry in that we are a turnkey partner that can do as much as needed to make the concert a success. When looking specifically at our technology, CrowdSeating has no comparable in the industry as our code is embedded directly in your own website. This is much different than being on a mass funding platform that looks like you are trying to raise money to survive. What is unique about the CrowdSeating approach is that our tool provides you with an ability to maximize the potential of your target markets and always places you in full control of the final numbers needed to go ahead with a concert commitment.
What if I am sick and can’t perform?
Life happens! CrowdSeating takes fan satisfaction very seriously and we understand that sometimes inevitable events due to health or terrible weather happen. We always secure cancelation insurance to protect the artist and the fans in cases where a concert can’t be successfully rescheduled.
Why can’t we commit to the dates in advance?
One of the powerful things about CrowdSeating is eliminating the risks from the traditional concert industry approach. Validating demand through ticket reservations prior to making costly expense commitments ensures that you get to do what you love and make money at that same time! Costs such as venue, production rider deposits, promotions, ticketing, etc. all introduce time and cost pressures. By being flexible and letting the market indicate where to perform, our artist partners are always in control and never out of pocket when a concert isn’t funded.
